US government expresses condolence over Abuja military plane crash

The United States government has sent a condolence message to the Nigerian government over the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) B350i aircraft that crashed in Abuja on Sunday, February 21.

The condolence message was conveyed in a tweet via the official Twitter handle of The US mission in Nigeria. The mission also sent condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and family members of those who suffered losses in the crash.

It was allegedly disclosed that the the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has disclosed its Beechcraft KingAir aircraft that crashed on Sunday, February 21, was scheduled to take part in a mission to rescue the abducted Kagara students before it crashed.

A spokesperson for the Air Force, Ibikunle Daramola, disclosed in a statement that the aircraft crashed while returning to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja after reporting engine failure en-route Minna.
