Seven out of the 317 schoolgirls abducted by bandits in Zamfara reportedly have escaped.

The school girls were kidnapped by bandits in the early hours of Friday, February 26.

A source confirmed to Channels TV that the girls returned home on Friday evening, February 26.

He also said they claimed they maneuvered their way back from the bandits while trekking along the forest.

He said more of the girls have escaped and were being expected home.
