Kanye West won his first gospel Grammy, and his first honor from the Recording Academy in eight years, for his “Jesus Is King” album. It is his 22nd career Grammy.

West did not join in the online acceptance speeches during the Grammy pre-telecast “premiere ceremony,” so presenter Jhene Aiko accepted on his behalf.

Last year, Kanye West has shared shocking footage of himself urinating on a Grammy Award as he ‘goes into battle’ against labels Universal and Sony to try and retrieve the rights to his own music.

The rapper, 43, posted the vision to his Twitter feed on which showed one of his 21 Grammys placed inside of a toilet bowl.
