In Nigeria, over the years we have seen the subject of tithing has always created divisions and tensions in cyberspace because it is the most controversial topic among believers.
According to Old Testament practice tithing was for the Levite’s and today many churches in Africa teach their congregation by paying 10% of their increase – tithes – to their local churches, it attracts some sort of blessings.
They are also other preachers who believe tithing is an Old Testament practice that has nothing to do with New Testament believers, they still encourage Christian to give voluntarily.
