Parler the ‘unbiased’ social media platform topped the iOS App Store chart this week with CEO of Parler John Matze who shared a screenshot over victory to be listed top alternative social media network after attracting high-profile conservative politicians.
Nation Scoops joined the Parler yesterday to investigate the reason behind many high-profile celebrities and politicians joining on this new social media platform which is raising eyebrows to the US Democratic Party.
“Welcome to Parler! Help us MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN” by clicking the link below.” Trump Team Parleyed.
Parler resembles Twitter but looks a bit old fashioned, poorly graphic – not so top-notch as the giant Twitter but has the potential to grow and become bigger as more people who have conservative views or just want to speak what’s on their mind.
Truly is this new social media platform unbiased as it claims to be? Let’s see what happens when anti-trump campaigners flood the site, will they keep to their agenda to allow freedom of speech to rule – or was it just an app to favor Trump’s November election —the end justifies the means.
Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg implemented policy changes during a virtual town hall meeting Friday as more major advertisers like coca-cola joined a boycott of the platform and shares sank sharply.
“Continuing to advertise on these platforms at this time would not add value to people and society. We will be monitoring ongoing and will revisit our current position if necessary,” Luis Di Como, Unilever’s executive vice president of global media, said in a statement, citing hate speech and divisive content on the platforms.
Parler in its infancy but is gaining traction due to the nature of allowing users to share experiences without fear of being labeled “offensive or “manipulative” – we will not conclude but the potential ahead is colossal.
A large conservative Christian community is also represented on Parler including pastors, and believers sharing bible verses and other Christian topics seemingly become popular with this hashtags #2NDCOMING.
Critics say Parler is full of “white supremacists” and by no means are going to help the cause of the black communities currently being killed by white police offers.
